Biography

Betsy has been a fighter her entire life, and she became a lawyer to put that skill to work. She understands that when you need a lawyer, you need someone strong in your corner; someone who will be a warrior for your cause. Betsy is that warrior. She has tried more than twenty cases to verdict, and received multi-million dollar awards in both state and federal court on behalf of her clients. Betsy has earned a reputation as a lawyer that shouldn’t be messed with, and she loves putting that reputation to work on behalf of her clients at Connecticut Trial Firm.

Betsy is a homegrown Connecticut success story. She attended the University of Connecticut with the prestigious Nutmeg Scholarship, a full four year academic honor. She then attended the University of Connecticut School of Law as the Dorothy Archibald Clark Scholar, and graduated magna cum laude after earning several awards for outstanding coursework. In addition to her exceptional experience as a trial lawyer, Betsy has also argued multiple cases before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, the Connecticut Supreme Court, and the Connecticut Appellate Court. She has been elected to the exclusive Super Lawyers designation every year since 2014, and in 2016 received an award from the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association for obtaining the largest verdict that year on behalf of an injured plaintiff.

When she is not working on behalf of her clients, Betsy enjoys spending time with her husband and two children in the beautiful Connecticut outdoors. She is an avid Red Sox fan and attends as many games as possible. Betsy is also a classically trained singer who performs in musicals at regional and local theaters around Connecticut, most recently at the Warner Theater in Torrington and the Thomaston Opera House.
